Alpine

The Alpine was a construction company of esportivos cars and French race, who used Renault engines. The Alpine became champion world-wide of rali in 1973 with its more famous model, the Alpine A110 (also known as " Berlinette"). A Alpine A442 won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1978. This was probably the last participation of an car of the Alpine in races, therefore at the time the company was in phase of fusing with the Renault and the car was enrolled as a Renault-Alpine. With the time, the Alpine was absorbed by the Renault. The last produced model was a610, whose production was interrupted in 1995. Since then, the plant in Dieppe became known as producing of esportivos models of the Renault and can be reactivated for the production of a new model in 2007 or 2008.
